CATERING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Weddings & Social Events
- A guaranteed number of guests is required 3 business days prior to any function. A 10% increase over this guarantee can be accommodated; however there will be no reduction of the guaranteed numbers without penalty. Failure to provide a guaranteed number of participants will result in the charge of the original number stated on the contract.
- The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver reserves the right to provide suitable, alternative meeting space in order to maximize the usage of all meeting rooms.
- All food and beverage items are subject to 15% gratuity and 5% GST. Meeting rooms and audio-visual are subject to 5% GST. Audio-visual equipment is subject to 7% PST. Alcoholic beverages are subject to 10% PST.
- The Catering Department must be consulted prior to setting up any banners and/or displays. Use of nails, staples, tacks and/or glue is strictly prohibited.
- The Convenor shall be held responsible for any and all damages to the property and/or equipment of the Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver caused by the Convenor and/or his/her guests, and will be held responsible for the actions and conduct of those guests.
- The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver reserves the right to inspect and monitor all functions and to discontinue service to some or all of the guests in the event of the violation of the Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver policies and/or provincial and/or federal law. In the event of discontinuance of service, the Convenor will remain responsible for any and all charges owed to the Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver.
- The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver reserves the right to provide alternative function space. The Catering Department will advise the Convenor of any and all changes prior to the event.
- For the protection of our guests, The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver will be the sole provider of all food and beverage. Food and beverage from any outside source is strictly prohibited. Should this condition be violated in any way, the Convenor will automatically be charged a penalty of $500.00.
- The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver will not be responsible for loss of or damage to any articles left in the hotel prior to, during or following an event.
- The Convenor is responsible for all guests attending to their functions. The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver shall not be responsible for any damages to any person or property whatsoever caused during the event. In the event of damage or loss to The Pantry Restaurant/Holiday Inn North Vancouver, then those losses will be billed to the Convenor and responsible for the same.
- All guests must depart the function area at or before the function closing time outlined on the Contract. Any function closing after the time stated will be subject to an additional charge, plus GST, per hour or fraction of that hour.
- Your meeting room will be available at your specified time, set per your specifications, and refreshed during meal breaks, or you pay no rental on that room for the day.
- Your coffee break(s) will be served as specified in the meeting contract and on time, or you pay no charge for that break on that day.
- Your Audio-Visual equipment will be set up in accordance with the meeting contract and, where the hotel is responsible for specific equipment, the equipment will be in good working order. If not, you pay no rental charges on that room for the day.
