If you’re wondering what to eat in Vancouver - look no further than the top two night markets happening during the summer! If it’s a family affair, be sure to check out the Vancouver International Children’s Festival at Granville Island. See more about these upcoming events below:

Shipyards Night Market

After the week is over, head over to the Shipbuilders’ Square for the Shipyards Night Market! Happening every Friday night from 5pm to 10pm, the Shipyards Night Market will run from May 3 until September 27, 2019. Grab fresh food for dinner, locally made products as gifts for friends (or for yourself), and enjoy a variety of music, art and entertainment. Browse through 100+ vendors and if you’re feeling adventurous take a walk through the hot food alley which will have an assortment of food trucks to fit anyone’s taste buds. More information is available through the The Shipyards District.

Richmond Night Market

If you missed the Shipyards Night Market, the Richmond Night Market takes place weekly every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 10 until October 4, 2019. Satisfy your appetite with authentically Asian snacks and street food that you can’t find anywhere else. If the food wasn’t enough of a reason, there is also nightly live entertainment from music to carnival games. Do not let this summer pass you by without checking out the Richmond Night Market

2019 Vancouver International Children’s Festival

From May 27 to June 2, 2019, Granville Island will become a playground for children and your inner child. From toddlers to tweens, the Vancouver International Children’s Festival has something for everyone. Throughout the festival, catch plays and special performances at one of the six indoor theatre venues, or move to your own schedule in the arts activity village. Tickets range from $22 per adult, $12.50 per child, or $6 for only an activity zone. There will be performance every day, so be sure to check the schedule for the Vancouver International Children’s Festival in advance!
