Seeking: Guest Service Agent

We are looking for a dynamic, customer services oriented individual with a strong work ethic to join our Front Desk team! Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, this part-time role will primarily be assisting guests with check-in/check-out experience, answering phones and answering guest questions such as directions, local attractions, dining recommendations, etc.

Requirements:

  • – Always maintains a professional demeanor and appearance
  • – Have a positive caring attitude
  • – Be a team player
  • – Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • – Excels in problem solving and handling complaints

  • – Reliable, dependable and resourceful
  • – Two years’ experience as a guest services in a hotel and/or hospitality diploma/degree (an asset)
  • – Knowledge of Opera Property Management System (an asset)
  • – Additional languages (an asset)
  • – Computer knowledge
  • – Due to the location in North Vancouver, having a vehicle is recommended

Room Attendant

Our Housekeeping Department is currently seeking a part-time Room Attendant to assist in the servicing of the Hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. Duties include vacuuming, dusting, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, attending to the pool/hot tub/change rooms, responding to guest requests (such as delivering items), light maintenance work and sometimes luggage handling.

Requirements:

  • – Heavy lifting is required (lifting mattress and sofa beds)
  • – Has a genuine desire and ability to exceed guest expectations
  • – Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • – Ability to take directions without constant supervision
  • – Have a positive caring attitude
  • – Ability to work autonomously and be a team player at the same time
  • – Excels in problem solving and handling complaints
  • – Flexible working schedule (weekend and weekdays but mostly morning shifts)
