Halloween is almost here, so if you haven’t already planned out your night it’s time to start thinking about it! Luckily, there are no shortage of fun (and COVID-friendly) Halloween events happening in Vancouver this year. Whether you prefer walking through a haunted corn maze or visiting a spooky theme park, check out the top three ways to celebrate Halloween 2020 in Vancouver.

Vancouver Horror Nights: Xtreme Fear Maze & Boogeyman Bash

Head to Port Coquitlam for one of the best Halloween events the city has to offer: Vancouver Horror Nights. This annual event takes place at the Giggle Dam Dinner Theatre, which transforms its nearly 7,000 square foot space for the occasion. This year’s event features the terrifying Xtreme Fear Maze, and the family-friendly Boogeyman Bash, where kids are invited to trick or treat in a festive maze.

HowlOver Canada

This Halloween, Vancouver’s FlyOver facility (which simulates the feeling of flight) is hosting a special event called HowlOver Canada. This time, people of all ages will be invited to join Biker Mama the Witch on an unforgettable flight ride. There will be a pre-show introducing you to Biker Mama the Witch and her pet cat, Tiger Moon. After taking flight, you can head to the Flying Whale Waterfront Cafe for treats and beverages. The event is taking place numerous times throughout the month of October.

Slayland - Night of a Thousand Screams

For Halloween 2020, the PNE Fairgrounds are playing host to a spooky extravaganza known as Slayland - Night of a Thousand Screams. Although the haunted houses will be closed due to COVID-19, this outdoor Halloween attraction will still include 20 rides, like the Wooden Roller Coaster and the Beast. Guests can visit Slayland every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from now until October 31. Please note masks are mandatory for all guests and costumes are encouraged.

If you plan on visiting Vancouver this Halloween, then be sure to book a room at the Holiday Inn & Suites North Vancouver. We offer quality accommodation, top-notch amenities, and even a special Staycation Package, which includes a two night stay and one staycation experience of your choice.
