Dine Out Vancouver Festival

This culinary festival is the highlight of the year for any foodie. From January 17 to February 2, hundreds of restaurants open their doors offering multi-course dinners at set prices. It’s your opportunity to sample some of the finest dining Vancouver has to offer, in addition to discovering hidden gems and family friendly fare. If you’re hungry for more, there are special culinary events, tours and seminars to please every palate imaginable throughout the 17 day festival. Take a cocktail masterclass or participate in a brunch crawl. On the Dine Out Vancouver website you can create the perfect dining itinerary based on the particular restaurant, menu price, type of cuisine and neighbourhood you’re looking for - so get those tastebuds watering!

There are many Dine Out events to choose from, here’s a couple for starters:

Farm in the City

On January 18, 2020, make your way to this gourmet culinary pop-up at 5:30 p.m. for the first seating or 8:30 p.m. for the second seating at the Sweetery Cafe and Dessert. Fresh local ingredients sourced from BC food producers are the main attractions at Farm in the City. This tasty exposition features quality ingredients fresh off BC farms: organic grass fed beef from Aurora View Farms, antibiotic free duck from Fraser Valley Specialty Poultry, organic vegetables from Forstbauer Farm, wild caught salmon from Organic Ocean Seafood and so much more. This farm-to-table event is held for one-night only so purchase your tickets soon! The cost of the ticket includes complimentary tea and coffee, and West Coast craft beer from Strange Fellows Brewing.

Dim Sum Chinatown Tour

This tour will take place every Saturday and Sunday throughout the run of Dine Out Vancouver. Take a stroll through Historic Chinatown and stop by several Dim Sum restaurants to savour delightful plates of dumplings, rolls, buns, rice dishes, seafood, servings of various meats and vegetables and more. Quaint dessert offerings such as egg tarts, sesame balls, or mango pudding are also part of dim sum dining. You will also be introduced to Chinese BBQ and take part in a Tea Ceremony. The Dim Sum Chinatown Tour is a popular mainstay of Dine Out Vancouver, and will sell out early! Admission is $94.50 - you can purchase your tickets in advance online.

Whether your intinerary includes taking in some of the Lower Mainland's most popular attractions, skiing on the North Shore mountains, or embarking on a foodie adventure, Holiday Inn and Suites in North Vancouver makes the perfect home base. We are located right at the foothills of Mount Seymour, where you'll have easy access to ski slopes, while we're only 20 minutes away from the downtown core of Vancouver that is home to many of the fine dining establishments that are participating in Dine Out Vancouver. Book your stay to secure your plans!
