This year March Break falls on the week of March 18 to 22 and there are tons of special events happening in the city. Here’s some possible options of what to do in Vancouver to make the most of the week off school.

Sea to Sky Gondola

Don’t miss out - between March 16th and 31st, up to three children under the age of 13 can ride the Sea to Sky Gondola for free per paying adult. The secret price makes this spring break activity all the more exciting. If you’re visiting the city, the Sea to Sky Gondola is one of the newer attractions but still one of the most spectacular offering awe inspiring views of Howe Sound and the Squamish Valley. To qualify for the deal, mention the ‘Secret Spring Break Deal’ when purchasing your tickets at the gate.

Spring break at HR MacMillan Space Centre

Take the break to explore another world. For space enthusiasts, the HR MacMillan Space Centre is the place to be this March Break. Special activities and programming exploring the sun and the moon will be taking place all week, including the premier of The Sun - Our Living Star in the planetarium star theatre on March 16. Make the most of your day after the Space Centre by heading to the neighbouring areas of Kitsilano Beach or Granville Island for delicious bite to eat.

Arts and Crafts at Granville Island

If the young ones in your family have an artsy flair, Granville Island’s Kids Market is hosting an entire week of Spring Break Arts and Crafts activities. Crafts include everything from making your very own Pinata to learning the art of printmaking. You can even light up your room with a do-it-yourself lantern, or test out watercolours. Check out what each day has in store for you online.

In addition to the events we’ve highlighted above, all of Vancouver’s top attractions will be hosting their own version of special events for March Break. Be sure to check out what places like the Vancouver Aquarium, Vancouver Art Gallery, Science World and more, has planned for the final weeks of March!

Whether you want to relax or fill up your schedule this spring break, Holiday Inn and Suites in North Vancouver is the perfect home base. We are located right at the foothills of Mount Seymour, allowing you to spend more time on the slopes, while also being 20 minutes away from the core of Vancouver so you can get around to all the fun activities the city has planned!
