Caribbean Days 2019 

This year the Caribbean Days Festival will take place on the weekend of July 27-28, 2019, at North Vancouver’s Waterfront Park, bringing all that Caribbean culture has to offer. Immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Caribbean. Take in the sounds of Reggae, Calypso, Latin, and other international sounds, and watch performances from dancers and entertainers. The event is free to attend, open to all ages, and there will be a Family Zone with activities for children. There is so much to see and do, be sure to check Caribbean Days Festival’s site so you can see what will be happening on the days! 

Vancouver Mural Festival 2019

The Vancouver Mural Fest, one of the largest public art festivals in Vancouver, is back for its fourth year! For 10 days, from August 1 to 10, see one-of-a-kind art from a diverse range of local artists. The festival spans across 14 blocks, transforming city street into living art spaces with free attractions and ways to interact with the art. There will also be live music, beer gardens, a skate jam, family zone, two markets and so much more to celebrate public art. Vancouver Pride Parade and Festival

Throughout the last week of July and into August, there will be tons of Pride events happening around the city. On August 4, don’t miss the official Vancouver Pride Parade and Festival is held in the West End. It’s always a non-stop celebration of diversity and fun for everyone involved. On top of the parade, there will be special events across the city in honour of Pride, such as After Hours Pride at the Vancouver Aquarium. The Aquarium will be open late on August 1 until 11 pm with special programming tailored to an adults-only audience. Also, do not miss Pride at Parq where honorary guests from Ru Paul’s Drag Race will take the stage on August 2. For the full list of Pride events happening, check the Vancouver Pride Society website
