Yes? Then you don’t want to miss the Sole Awesome 5km Fun Run at North Vancouver’s beautiful Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve on Lillooet Road on May 27.
 
Sole Girls is an organization that’s changing the world by giving girls the tools to be physically active, connected, confident and empowered.
 
Sole Girls’ supportive programs combine physical activity, personal development and mentorship in a bid to reduce stress, anxiety and contribute to a lifetime of health.
 
The Sole Awesome 5km Fun Run—which is open to boys, girls, parents and their supporters—is a fun catalyst for these goals, and this year’s event aims to support the mental health of both boys and girls.
 
And it’ll be fun, fun, fun! You can expect high-five stations, three-legged races and plenty of cheering, as well as a special celebration and obstacle course at each kilometre mark. Running isn’t even essential. You’re welcome to run, hop, skip or jump to the finish line if you so wish!
 
It’s a worthwhile cause, as Sole Girls has some fabulous core values: Support (to support each other and accept being and feeling supported); Open-Minded (to understand that everyone is coming from a different situation); Love (the organization loves changing lives and believes that self-love is important); and Enthusiasm (to get excited about life, physical activity, health and to have fun).
